A Review From Jennie & Jonathan Landon – 4/28/12

1191497_218I recently received a review of my Pittsburgh DJ service from Jennie Landon (April 28, 2012). It’s hard to believe that it has been over a year since my brother Curt (Curt’s Photography) and I worked with her and Jonathan!

We had a fantastic time at one of my favorite Pittsburgh venues, the Grand Concourse.

Here’s what Jennie had to say about my DJ service.

Tracy was the DJ for our wedding in April 2012, and we were very happy with the job he did. He was extremely professional throughout the entire process, including walking us through reception timing and planning.  Tracy also did an excellent job of playing the songs we requested, along with other wedding favorites, and he balanced the types of songs he played well so that all of our guests had an opportunity to dance.  Tracy even put together a photo montage for our engagement dinner and displayed it during our reception.  Our relatives are still talking about what a great time they had at our wedding, and Tracy was no small part of that.  I recommend Tracy without reservation to anyone else looking for an excellent DJ.

It’s always nice to hear from previous couples that we have worked with and it’s especially gratifying to have them give my DJ service such a glowing review!

Lyndsay & Tom – Youghiogheny Country Club

Last Friday I had the pleasure of providing Pittsburgh DJ service for Lyndsay and Tom’s wedding at the Youghiogheny Country Club. I also provided their yellow up lighting.

The party was fantastic! We had a packed dance floor all night and had lots of participation from all of the guests!

Here’s some of the music selections that Lydsay and Tom picked for their reception.

Bridal Party Introductions – Tonight is the Night by Outasight

Bride and Groom Introduction –  Marry You by Bruno Mars

First Dance –  Come Away with Me by Norah Jones

Cake Cutting – Cut the Cake by Average White Band

Father/Daughter Dance – Hold Me, Kiss Me, Thrill Me by Mel Carter

Mother/Son Dance – My Wish by Rascal Flats

During the cocktail and dinner hours I played a mix of contemporary artists like Ingrid Michaelson and John Mayer along with favorites from more classic artists like Stevie Wonder and Bob Dylan (Tom’s dad’s favorite artist).

During the dancing portion of the evening the mix featured a lot of top 40 (artists like Pitbull, LMFAO, Usher and Justin Timberlake) and a mix of wedding favorites (songs like Shout, Billie Jean and Sweet Caroline).

The dance floor was still crowded when I played Donna Summer’s Last Dance at the end of the night.

This last picture is a shot of my wedding set up. This is the standard set up I use at almost all receptions.

Pittsburgh DJ – PPG Aquarium – Kristine & J.R.

On Saturday March 23, 2013 we provided both DJ and video service for Kristine and J.R. Irwin.  Their reception was at the PPG Aquarium. The Aquarium is one of my favorite Pittsburgh reception venues.

The following Pittsburgh wedding video presents highlights from Kristine and J.R.’s reception.

As you can see from the video, the PPG Aquarium is a beautiful venue and Kristine, J.R. and their guests had a great time.

Wedding Wire Review – Nicolette 10/6/12

I want to thank Nicolette for the very nice Wedding Wire review she gave my Pittsburgh wedding DJ service. I worked with Nicolette and Adam on their October 6, 2012 wedding reception at Hidden Valley Resort.

Here’s what Nicolette had to say.

We loved working with Tracy at Entertainment Tonite! Our wedding reception was a lot of fun and that was because of him!! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ or person to help plan our special day!!

In addition to DJ service I also provided the couple with full room uplighting and a photo montage.

I want to extend best wishes to Nicolette and Adam! They were a super nice couple and I really enjoyed working with them.

The Camelot – Amanda & Dan – 3/2/13

On Saturday I traveled north of Pittsburgh to the Camelot Banquet Hall where I provided DJ service for Amanda and Dan’s wedding and reception.

This is the first time I have worked at the Camelot and I must say I was impressed. Linda and her staff did a wonderful job. The food and the service were outstanding!

For prelude music, Amanda and Dan selected Vitamin String Quartet. VSQ is an interesting and wonderful choice for ceremony prelude music.

For the bridesmaids processional I played Pachelbel’s Canon in D and for Amanda’s processional I played Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni.

The couple had a great, personalized wedding ceremony in which they shared their own vows. I was able to provide a wireless lapel microphone for the officiant which helped everyone hear the great letters the couple had written to one another. The microphone also helped everyone hear Amanda and Dan as they exchange their vows.

After the ceremony the couple selected an eclectic music mix for the cocktail and dinner hours. The mix included everything from Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra to Bruno Mars and Colby Caillat.

Amanda and Dan’s introduction into the hall had a Rocky theme as I played “Eye of the Tiger” for the parents and bridal party. Then I switched to the “Theme from Rocky” for the couple’s grand entrance.

A few other important songs that were played during the evening were; “Me and You” for Amanda and Dan’s first dance, “My Little Girl” for the father and daughter dance and “Because You Loved Me” for the mother and son dance.

The guests had a great time during the dancing portion of the evening. Amanda and Dan had a few favorites selected and then gave me the option to read the crowd and play music that would keep the guests dancing and having fun for the rest of the night.

I really want to thank Amanda and Dan for selecting my Pittsburgh wedding DJ service to be a part of their special day. It was a great night!

Ramada Greensburg Wedding Video, DJ, Uplighting

This wedding video was from the Richards/John reception at the Ramada Hotel in Greensburg. This video has footage from the cocktail hour and the grand bridal party entrance.

Also featured in this video is our Pittsburgh DJ service and our Pittsburgh up lighting service. Amber was our most popular up lighting color last fall.

Because of the fixtures that many Pittsburgh area up lighting providers use, amber can be a difficult color to produce. It would be advisable to check that the provider can produce your specific color BEFORE you hire their service.

Youghiogheny Country Club Pittsburgh

Located in Elizabeth Township, just a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh, the Youghiogheny Country Club (YCC) has been setting a standard of excellence for nearly a century.

We work at the Youghiogheny Country Club about five to six times a year. Here are some of the YCC photos taken by our Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer. We have a lot more samples from the club at our studio which is about three miles from YCC.
